Introducing the Michael Caine by Renauld
Introducing Renauld × Sir Michael Caine
Renauld is proud to introduce The Michael Caine Collection, developed in official collaboration with Sir Michael Caine and his family.
Inspired by the unmistakable sunglasses worn by Caine in The Italian Job (1969), the collection faithfully recreates one of the most recognisable looks in British cinema – a design synonymous with Caine’s effortless style and the enduring legacy of an iconic film.
Handcrafted in Italy and available in Black Acetate and Tortoiseshell Acetate, each frame brings together traditional craftsmanship, exceptional materials and authentic cinematic provenance.
The collection is available as The Michael Caine Edition and The Michael Caine Origin (Keepsake). The Origin incorporates an authenticated fragment of Sir Michael Caine’s original cream suit, worn in The Italian Job, preserved by hand within the Renauld shield on the temple. Due to the finite nature of the original garment, the Keepsake edition is strictly limited.
Each pair also features embedded ValueBond® technology, unlocking exclusive photography, film, interviews and stories connected to Sir Michael Caine’s remarkable career and the creation of the collection.
To mark the collaboration, Renauld photographed Sir Michael Caine’s wife, daughter and grandchildren at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, where scenes from The Italian Job were filmed – bringing the story full circle, more than five decades later.
From Steve McQueen and James Dean to Marlon Brando and now Sir Michael Caine, Renauld continues its commitment to preserving remarkable cultural stories through collectable eyewear.
A cinematic legacy, reimagined for a new generation.
